On April 10th, Prof. Ines Stolpe gave an insightful lecture on the topic of "Transnational Memory Cultures, Battlefield Tourism and Reconciliation" at the Department of East Asian Studies.

Her lecture focused on the multipolar representations of the 1939 conflict between Japan and the USSR at the Manchukuo border, including examples from fieldwork, mass media, travel blogs, montion pictures and video clips from Russia, Mongolia, China, Japan and South Korea.
