Prof. Nissim Otmazgin's u:eastasia lecture on the contesting visions of culture and democracy and their implementation as soft power policies in Taiwan and Japan is now available online.

On September 21, Martin Mandl welcomed Prof. Nissim Otmazgin, incoming Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem for a hybrid lecture on "Soft Power in Taiwan and Japan".

Prof. Otmazgin shared insights on the institutional and geopolitical constrains and the internal disagreements over utilising their respective cultural and democratic achievements through public diplomacy.
