The Department of East Asian Studies, the Chair of East Asian Economy and Society (EcoS), and the European Centre for North Korean Studies (ECNK) are searching for a postdoctoral researcher (40h/week). 

We are looking for a candidate with a Doctoral/PhD degree in the Social Sciences, a background in Political Science, and a research focus on North Korea. Our working language is English, so we require an excellent command of written and spoken English (C1 Level). Excellent command of Korean and a proven ability to conduct research in that language are expected as well. Command of German is an advantage, but not a must.

The position will be for a maximum of 6 years, starting in September 2024. The successful candidate will be expected to move to Vienna in Austria. The application window will be open until March 17, 2024.
