The Ministry of Education of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is offering two exclusive 6-month language scholarships in support of the Vienna Center for Taiwan Studies. These scholarships are available exclusively to students of the Department of East Asian Studies/Sinology and the East Asian Economy and Society (EcoS) program at the University of Vienna.

Applying for this scholarship does not exclude applicants from applying for other scholarships offered by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan. Applicants of all EU nationalities are eligible to apply.

At the time of application, applicants must be enrolled in either the Bachelor's or Master's program in Sinology or the Master's program in EcoS. Please submit your motivation letter, CV, transcript of records, completed application form, and proof of enrollment in a language institute in Taiwan (see the respective university websites) by March 31, 2025, to sinologie.ostasien@univie.ac.at (Subject: Huayu Scholarship).
