Dear EcoS students,
After receiving multiple questions about the course schedule, we would like to inform you that the M5 "Research Seminar and Monitoring Class for the Master's and PhD Thesis" will indeed be offered to EcoS students in the upcoming semester.
The class, led by Dan Gudgeon, PhD, is scheduled for Tuesdays, 4:45 PM–6:15 PM. Please note that course details may be subject to change (including the time slot!). We encourage you to continue monitoring the u:find course directory for updates in the coming days.
Additionally, we would like to highlight a new M4 course, "Identity in East Asia" (Thursday, 11:30 AM–1:00 PM, which will also be taught by Dan Gudgeon. This course involves an in-depth exploration of the concept of identity with the view to gaining a deeper understanding of how citizens in East Asian states make sense of the world. In focusing on ideas rather than purely material factors, this course will utilize a constructivist approach to explore how identities are constructed and re-constructed in the distinct historical, cultural, and political contexts of East Asia.
As with the M5 seminar, we would like to ask for your patience until it is displayed on u:find. Once the courses are uploaded to u:find, we will send a roundmail to all EcoS students.
Note: The time of your registration within the registration period has no effect on the allocation of places (no first come, first served).
Best regards,
EcoS Staff
