For a project on the use of AI to support our students in writing academic papers (seminar papers and master's theses), the team of East Asian Economy and Society (EcoS) at the Department of East Asian Studies is looking for a student assistant. 

• The position is for a duration of four months, from March 1 to June 30, 2025, with a working time of 10 hours per week on average.
• The compensation is in accordance with the collective agreement of the University of Vienna and amounts to approximately 650 EUR gross per month.
• The tasks include: supporting Prof. Frank in the course "UE Methods in East Asian Studies: The use of AI for thesis development" in the summer semester of 2025; training an AI based on existing datasets; developing a user-friendly front-end interface; testing the feedback tool.
• Required documents: CV, a description of relevant experience (max. 1 page), and ideas for the project (max. 1 page).
