[Workshop] Writing Mentoring at CTL

26.03.2025

The University's Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) offers a mentoring workshop for academic writing.

Dear students,

  • Do you often sit in front of a blank paper?
  • Do you lack a guiding line in the writing process?
  • Do the texts in your studies seem like 'Spanish' to you?
  • Do you find it difficult to find suitable literature for your work?

In the summer semester, the Center for Teaching and Learning is offering a writing mentoring program for students. You will be supported in your academic writing by peer mentors from higher semesters.

Writing mentors offer:

  • Strategies for getting into writing
  • Help with the structure of texts
  • Reading techniques & methods for better text comprehension
  • Orientation in the scientific literature
  • Joint work on texts that you have to write for courses anyway
  • Text feedback

Are you interested?

Then come to the (first) session of the mentoring group - this always takes place on Wednesdays between 13:15-14:45 at the Peer Seminar Room, top floor, NIG (Universitätsstraße 7, 1010). Prior registration is not necessary.

The specific topics of the sessions can be found in the semester schedule of the relevant group: ctl.univie.ac.at/en/services-for-students/during-the-degree-programme/writing-mentoring/overview-of-all-study-programs/
