Best Presentation Award for "A Taste of Taiwan"


Martin Mandl's presentation "A Taste of Taiwan" has been awarded the 'Best Presentation Award', supported by the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy, at the joint 17th and 18th European Association of Taiwan Studies Annual Conference.

In his article "A Taste of Taiwan: How Taiwan’s Culinary Heritage is Narrated for an International Audience" Mr. Mandl addresses the gastrodiplomacy of Taiwan as served by its de-facto embassies in Berlin, Bern, and Vienna. The corresponding peer-reviewed article is due for publication in ASIEN - The German Journal of Contemporary Asia later this year.
